Hi,I have been having cluster h/a on and off for about 3-4 years now.Lately they have been VERY painful and more frequent.Yesterday I cried in front of my wife(kind of embarrassing) during a h/a.Today I drove myself to the ER(1st time) only to have my h/a dissappear just before doc came in room.My bp was 171/125 at the time I arrived.After the pain "disappeared" my bp was 135/83.I am 31,male,with hypertension undercontrol with meds.The doc said no sense doing ct scan because I have been getting these for so long(3-4 years) and he got me appointment with neurologist in 2 weeks from today.I got a prescription of Ibuprofen 800mgs. to take as needed but really have no faith in it working as no other nsaids have been helping.I have not had no beer in 3 days thinking that was a trigger BUT the h/a still have been coming.I dont know where Im going with this post so I will stop now;) Its a good feeling knowing people are out there that truly KNOW the PAIN I have been enduring unlike my unsupportive friends who say "We all get bad headaches so stop blowing it out of proportion".
