I haven't been on the board in a long time,so hello everyone. I guess when you are flying by and no Cluster that you can't control, you just don't even want to think about it. Sorry, selfish I know.

Suggestion for the ER. On a visit to my Neuro, I suggested that he write me a prescription to be given to the ER if, or should I say WHEN I need to go, (because we all know we will end up there sometime or another). The prescription, of course, has his name and states that I am a patient of his and suffer from cluster headaches. It also states that when I present myself for treatment, the instructions they are to follow. If after that treatment, which is an IV treatment, I do not get some relief, then to call him. He thought it was a wonderful idea. Since I am Nocturnal, he won't get awaken at 4 a.m. by an Emergency Room from literally anywhere.

I travel and play golf all over the country and never know where I might be. It is very scary just thinking about presenting yourself to an ER in a city that is strange and you are acting like an idiot.

I never go anywhere without my security blanket (my prescription from my Neuro in my pocketbook). I mean anywhere!

Just a suggestion, but ask your Neuro to give you something simular and the ER Nurses (almost Gods, since the ER Docs are Gods (in their own minds) maybe won't treat us with the disrespect we receive all the time.

Just a thought that might help others as it has helped me.
