Both me and my headaches.
It's been awhile since I have been on this website.
But I am thankful for this site with all the most current information and all the people who are here.
I have had recurring bouts of cluster headaches for 30 years now. They usually come back every 12 to 18 months and last for 4 weeks.
Latest one started 2 nights ago. It was similar to the ones before and using Imitrex nasal spray made it go away after 15 minutes. I find that I become very tired and fatigued. I think its a combination of the headaches and the medication. It makes me feel like a zombie the next day.
Yesterday, I went and got my oxygen tank. Scary when the woman at the company remembers me, even after a year. Last night, the cluster started at 9 pm rather than waking me up in the middle of the night. It started off slowly this time as a dull ache. I took the oxygen but it did not stop it. I finally had to use the Imitrex again. 10 minutes later I was ok but tired again and went to bed. Slept all night and feel somewhat better.
I am off to see my doctor about getting my prednisone prescription refilled again. I feel that this bout could be a real bad one. (Aren't they all?) In hindsight, some are worse than others.
I find that knowing what is coming tonight makes my day filled with anxiety and dread.
There is a lot more to tell but I have to get going.
