because I live in Arizona, which is a right-to-work state, and that means employment is "at will" and they do not have to have a valid reason for firing you, as long as they are not violating any federal or state mandates concerning discrimination, or any documented company employment policies.
I would suggest she start by contacting the labor board in her state, and talking to them about it.
