indicates it probably is not cluster is that they almost never fully go away, Clusters almost with out exception run a certain time pattern for each sufferer, with mine if I could make it to the cold shower to run cold water over the affected side very quickly at onset , I could avoid a full blown #9 and the attack would abate within 25 to 45 minutes, how ever if I was caught out without an Ice Bag (1 Gallon Ziplock type fully of crushed ice) or near cold running water and the attack went full blown it would always be a 45minute to 1 1/2 hr. event, but always, and I mean every time I had tearing of the eye so bad that I could not see beyond the eyelid and Nasal purging of clear runny mucose. Each attack ended as completely as it began when it did abate until the next one. Does your man us any stimulants that might cause him to bite down on his teeth or chew gum a lot? Does he have any audible popping noises that emmanate from his jaw while talking or eating? Does he drink Beer? or have any known allergies that indicat he might get Hay Fever headaches? All things to concider, Jaw missalignment or dental problems also cause similar symtoms, I'd follow the instructions of your Doctor and continue to elimanate the possible culprate!(JMHO) Pappy
