on sore mucus membranes can cause more irritation. So I coat the inside of my nose with Fougera brand A&D ointment, one of the few brands that is not loaded with perfumes that also can be an irritant. Matter of fact, been coating my nose each morning that helps keep the membranes in good working order. The body shop men always used vaseline with all the paint fumes and dust to help protect their noses. I also keep a roll of masking tape on my concentrator, tear off a small piece and seal my nose and breathe through my mouth, so don't have rebound problems. My neighbor was a respiratory nurse and also taught me a couple of trips, guess she didn't like to see me pace back and forth in my driveway in pain.
