are Herpe's viruses,we all carry all of there herpe's viruses around with us but certain circumstances trigger the different specific strains of the viruses, it is true that having had Chicken Pox seems to be a prelude or precursor to developement of Shingles(also a herpe's virus)
One thing that I happened to trip over while doing some research on pain meds and abortives is that the drug neurontin is also being used with a great deal of success to treat shingles! so If you have a propencity to develope shingles you might want to talk to your neurologist about trying a small therapudic dose or two of neurontin to see if it helps your shingles!
While I'm ranting let me straighten out my post about whats in a name, Doug didn't directly call me a crazy person(although by now I'm sure there is a growing number saying(Crazy as a loon) but I have said the adage many times here that states "what doesn't kill you will make you stronger!" Ergo the corilation---Sorry if I upset you guys, it was just my attempt at humor at 3am while in severe pain, you know sometimes you gotta laugh to keep from crying!
