is that it doesn't start with the vascular system, but rather, often any vascular changes are secondary and occur after the onset of the domino effect which brings about the pain. Just as they are not serotonal headaches, although our serotonin levels are affected, and they aren't blood-oxygen level headaches, although our blood-oxygen levels are affected, I have to agree with Simon, Goadsby, et. al. that the term "vascular headaches," when refering to CH, is a misnomer.
