Ergostats was one real good example, worked great at first, then the CH's became more frequent, so would take more of those green pills thinking my CH's were getting worse. Got to the point like clockwork, take a 1/4 of an ergostat, CH would go and come back exactly 3 hours and 42 minutes later kind of thing, exceeded my 10 mg per week maximum, CH's got really bad. Had to go with withdrawl, in other words, suffer the damned headache out without popping a pill, eventually after a couple of eternities, the headaches became fewer and more infrequent until the cycle broke, about a month.

When through the same thing with codiene pain killers, Topamax, Xanax, imitrex, lithium, and probably a couple of more I can't think of right now.

Just to to the point where I said after fooling around with these damnned meds for 20 years, screw it, ain't taking anymore. Just very light doses of prednisone definately using alternate day therapy, never take a pred two days in a roll, and of course, the O2. Won't take pred with a cold or flu, body will never fight the cold with prede floating around. It's a bitch.
