I have been episodic for 31 years.
Cycles are ALWAYS 6 weeks long.
First few days are somewhat mild and then they quickly grow to monsters. At the height of a cycle I get attacks during the day but most of the time my attacks begin during sleep.
Individual attacks used to be 1 hour.
They grew in duration to a current 3 to 4 hours.
I spent the first 14 years or so without medication.
Verapmil has worked REAL well since I discovered it in 1989.
I am a hero to myself :-)
