I am a person who sufferes from obsessive compulsive disorder, and one OCD symptom is headaches. However my doc said that my headaches sounded like cluster headaches. After reading some info and bulletin posts, I don't think mine are cluster's. I do get headaches that are severe, however they come on instantly, like someone just stabed me in the head with an icepick. they last 5-10 minutes (usually, sometimes they can last 30 minutes) then fade away only to have another attack 5-10 minutes later. I have at least 2 headaches every day (no weeks pas without having a headache) I have had these headaches every day for the past 5 years. somedays I have headaches every 5 minutes for up to 5 hours (though usually they last for 3 hours). My eyes are hypersensetive to light, especially car headlights. When I have a headaches my mood swings like a pendulum and I cry hysterically even though I am not upset about anything. Sometimes I am so sensitive to sound that I can't stand even the slightest noise, it doesn't make me sick or anything it just feels like my nerves will explode from the overload of input to the brain. I do get the droopy eyelid, but it is on the other side of my face, not on the side with the headache. my doc assures me I don't have migraines since the headaches are so short lived.
Does anyone know if these are clusters, or someother type of headache?
