but I would bet money that even with official testing, we would find nothing conclusive. What works well for some with this affliction doesn't do diddly for others. Furthermore, what works faithfully for one person for awhile, can suddenly quit working for that same person. The clusterbeast is a crafty one.

As I've said, we are 99.9999% sure that the psilocybin kept Mike in remission for almost three years. Our faith in this comes because he WAS exhibiting signs of impending cycles (shadows, cluster eyes, etc.) and those symptoms DID disappear twice in that time period directly after dosing with tea, and he would enjoy a few more months of symptom freedom. So there definitely IS big merit in this therapy and that psilocybin IS doing something to reset/regulate the chemical imbalances going on in a clusterhead.

However, this last time for Mike, he dosed well into his cycle, not at the onset, and it's our opinion that he was too late to be able to shut the flood gates. I think this is the reason it didn't work for him this time. For him - it's timing. For others...it's maybe not.

Having said all this, though, Mike would still use the psilocybin as a preventative for the next cycle. I still think this treatment IS very viable and it's had the biggest success rate of anything we've seen to date.

I hope we continue to research and test it, before it's pooh-poohed as a hippie-dippie kinda thing. I really hope we don't, as a group, let a few failures stop the research.
