Hi. I too am only using amitriptyline, low dose of 25 mgs at bedtime, in addition to weekly acupuncture. I tried to stop the meds but was waking up at night with a pulsating headache.I did not wean off the meds but stopped suddenly. With the amitriptyline, I sleep soundly so I guess it at least helps during the night, though I'm still dealing with CH pain throughout most days. Irka
