After 2 years- the CH's are BACK!

It's been a while since I logged on here...I've been painfree and loving it because....
I've been really sucessful being proactive with my CH's until this week. Out of the blue this Sunday- WHAM! (I usually get hit around X-mas for a few weeks) and it was pretty bad! The CH's have gotten worse and have been building up. Thursday was a night of total delirium and pain- a definite 10 on the KIP scale. I have never had them in the summer- so I was shocked. I thought I had them under control!!!
I usually ramp up in November with Melatonin, Magnesium, Feverfew and B2 and I sail though the holidays pain free. No caffeine or alcohol though for a few weeks!
Needless to say I was in a panic this week- I finally got my first O2 tank and what a miracle! O2 ROCKS!!!
Looking for Kudzu- thought I try & add that to the list too.
I'm not sure what triggered these new CH's. I am stumped...

I feel for you brother, mine just came back a few weeks ago after a two year remission, so I understand your pain and frustration. Glad to hear you have the o2 and are taking proactive steps to remedy the CH's. Best of luck...Gregg in Las Vegas

Sorry that you had to return, but its nice to meet you.
I know what you mean about the CH coming back, I went almost 3yrs, then mine started again on June 1st.
I have been using the Melatonin 9mg & Benadryl 50mg at night, since about 2 weeks into my cycle, its helped alot. It took about 4 days to start working, but it has reduced the intensity and frequency of the attacks.
I used the TREX & O2 at the begining of my cycle to abort the HA's, but now I have been using the O2 most of the time, I use the TREX for the really bad hits and Huff the O2 to finish.
Hope you find some PF time soon... There are a few new ALt meds that you can read up on, I am thinking of trying the Kudzu if I get my next cycle in December.

I know what you're going through. I was chronic for about 10 years or so, and then had my first remission--a full year. I was elated--I had finally gotten rid of the headaches. I'd never have to go through that again. Unfortunately, I had no idea what CH was, or that I had it. I still remember my depression as the old feeling hit me again.
On the up side, I'm glad you found O2! That stuff is awesome--I just found it (and this site) a few weeks ago.

know exactly how you feel my friend 2 years without a ch and suddenly wham in my 2nd week now and not doing well docs in the uk are useless they refuse point blank to prescribe oxygen for me its painfull to hear how good it is and not be able to get any.
