For tonight for New Years Eve ? Were goin to a friends house party......sumone is pickin us up that doesn't drink so we can both have a few ! Myself I kinda wanted to stay home this year and cozy up on the couch with some wine, my cats and watch the Twilight Zone Marathon on sci-fi !! Brad'd get the other couch with his Corona. Sounds boreing but we have been on the go go go for the past month now and I am burnt out on it for a while. Am hopein whatever ya's all do it is PF.....and relaxing and SAFE !! I'll be fightin a nice bulgein neck disc with a good case of stenosis thrown in and 4 discs of nasties. (not to mention lower back oddities ta match) I may end up under a table Pam
Have a happy new year and better year ahead ! I guess I will drink wine for WHINE...........

I'm off to a matinee to see the Museum movie and for Christmas I got a gift card for Red Lobster so then we're going there and after that we'll shoot some pool and get off the streets before all the drunks show up.

I'll be over. I'm settling down with NBC in Times Square for a time and then probably The Twilight Zone. Hard to beat even after 40 years. 
In my 60 years, I've been to one New Years party. I'm told I had a good time. Must have. I woke up in Sally's nurse friend's bedroom with a Dachshund and Irving, the Siamese cat. I've always been afraid to ask..

All hunkered down in the house for a night of rented movies, hors d'oeuvres, a little bubbly, and maybe even a little bit of the Packers/Bears game (although, don't hold me to that last one).
We're also dog sitting, so we'll be trying to prevent the evening from becoming a piss fest.

Grilling steaks at home tonight. Afterwards we're going to watch "Independence Day" and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" on the new 42 inch plasma TV with surround sound that I shocked the whole fandamily with on Christmas morning.
(We hadn't had a TeeVee in the house for 14 years prior to this. Not having one forced our kid to do other things--like read and draw and write. We're very cruel.  I figured that now that she's sixteen, she's probably immune to the Mindkiller. )
Later on, EJ and I will pop the bottle of Veuve Clicquot that my sister-in-law gave us for our anniversary. Throw a few explosive devices around on the street at midnight, and bang some pots and pans together to ward off the bad juju, and probably call it a night soon thereafter.
Nothing like the unsafe and insane New Year's parties I attended long ago, but more to my tastes these days. Used to be, trouble would find me. Now I have to go looking for it.
Enjoy New Year's Eve, everyone--and best wishes from us to all of you.

We're at Joe's friend Ron's. They've been friends for over 40 years. We started doing new year's with 8 kids between us, now there's is only 1 here and she's 18. We might actually go out when we hit 0 kids, or maybe not.

I'm putting my kids to sleep and about 10pm my wife will return from work and we'll catch a movie, drink some sparkling juice/cider, and watch the ball drop.
At that point we can expect one or both our kids to wake up crying and end up sleeping with us.
My plans for 2007 though are to be a better husband and father, be more motivated, lose weight, and refuse to let the beast (or anything else) get me down.

After cooking and serving dinner for 15 yesterday - today has been a clean up kind of day.
Took down the tree - undecorated the house and now we're just going to watch a movie and unwind.
Not so sure I'll even see the other side of midnight!

I spend my New Years with my boyfriend at his friend's house;it was a housewarming party also. There were about nine of us most of the time and few came over for a while. There was also a cute dog called Obelix.
Our New Years went nicely; we had pizza, macaroni salad, many kind of potato chips, chocolate cake, candy, cookies and those who were not with ch (me) nor child (our hostis) had beer, wine or champagne. We watched movies, talked, laughed and then, close to midnight, we went to watch the fireworks to a hill nearby. It was a bit foggy night, so we didn't see as much fireworks as we could have (according to locals), but nenertheless we had fun out there watching the fireworks.
Happy New Year everybody!!!!
