Ace, I second what Helen said--that was WRONG what you said about your mother--show some respect. Secondly, I knew a schizophrenic guy, came into where I worked a lot, and he was a very sweet, kind man who was just very confused/delusional, but probably the sweetest person you'd meet. You on the other hand are very nasty and seem mostly coherent. So if doctors are telling you you are not schizophrenic, accept it and find something else to BS about.

| Yes, yes I can. I can also thank my mother for drinking all the time, ruining every childhood moment I had and most of my adult moments too). I can thank her family for disowning her and leaving me to take on the burden and responsibility of caring for here myself. And trust me...If she had your phone number....you would not be offended by anything I said. I know this may seem shallow but I can also blame her for her genes. I could have done without this illness.

Some people take responsibility for their own happiness, and others make a whole lifetime career out of pointing the finger at others. You just tipped your hand. From this point forward, I'll have nothing to do with you.

| Most schizophrenics are very nice and mild until they are attacked (verbally or phyically) or they off meds. I have been told, when picking my mother up the hospital, that she was the sweetest, nicest person they had. Me and a select few "licky" people know different. MY Aunt, who raised me, could not believe that my mother had a nice side to her and still doesn't beleive it when I tell her about how smooth her inpatient stays go. As for me, I have schizophenia. This I am sure of. Even though I am schiz I can compare apples and apples and I am just like my mother. As for "official" diagnosis. I have had doctors say I was juat suffering from major depressive disorder to achizophrenia to I don't see anything wrong with you. It had gone this way for me physicaly to... I was not being disrepectful to my mother. There is a very bad histroy there.

Dude you cant blame your mother for the way your life turned out, we are all in control of our own lives and it is what you make of it, start thinking more possitivly things will change, you sound like you live in resentment of a lot of things, my mother is difficult but i have the upmost respect for her, i chose to do other things and take charge of my life you can do the same, we all can do without our medical problems but its part of life and if you wana be a part of it then start taking charge of it, we all have clusters here and this forom helps us deal with it, your not using this site like all of us are, plus im convinced you dont even have cluster headaches, sounds more like migraines, you sound like a child who needs a scapegoat and that seems to be your mother, im sorry dude but that is just very sad.

| I have 3 psych docs and my old Primary Care doc that say I am schiz. They are not counting out my physical illness but mrntally, I have picked up the schiz gene. What I meant by my comment "I looked like my Mother..." Is that after every one her episodes she would be spaced out and non-responsive having this blank, emotionless look on her face. It would also take here a month or more to recover.

So have you tried the olanzapine? Works for both schizophrenia and cluster headaches. Even seems to help with migraines and other refractory headaches.

| The melatonin "thing". I did not know that was are part of CH'ers. I also have circadian rythm issues with a malformed pituitary (inoperable). You wanna talk about scewing up hormaones. Anyway, thanks for the reply, that was informative. I do have cluster's. I could provided the links to where it decsribe my headaches but everyone seems to be having a lot of fun saying I'm ignorant. I am REALLY interested in the pathphysiology of the Oxygen thing. Did it originate on this forum? What is it supposed to do? And How? I just ask because I had a schiz speel back in 2006 and was given oxegen and it completely beought me back to reality. No drugs. Just 02.

| O2 has long been known for being a vasoconstrictor. It has been used for headaches for a very long time. As for treatment of phychatric disorders I haven't a clue as I have never heard of it being used for that pourpose. -P.

Potter, Don't you know that trolls can't see past the end of their noses? Wouldn't do him much good too look in the mirror. I think his docs missed the dx on schizophrenia, it appears that his dx is more along the lines of mpd.
