46 WEEKS PAIN FREE
Thanks to everyone for their continued support in our p/f time.
We have been able to do more in the past 46 weeks than we have ever dreamed of doing for the rest of the entire time we have known each other
Change is never all easy .. .our family has had many changes take places during this time.  One of the biggest is that D doesn't respond with the pain of the beast anymore . . .so we have learned what the real D is like.  And know what?  We get new surprises everyday!!
This weekend we all went to the gulf .. .we had breakfast together and enjoyed the sun and beach  .. .during the days of the beast, we could have NEVER done that.
Wishing everyone painfree time, no matter what method they choose to battle the beast.

Thanks major and e-double *g*

Well, I have some reporting to do.

I am still counting p/f weeks, and would like to claim 47 weeks p/f . . .but there is a blip on our 47th week.

This week, we had a headache .. .yes, we knew it was the beast . . .we got the hot poker and everything.  It only lasted about 10 to 15 minutes, and we used nothing to abort . . .we rocked together on the edge of the bed . . . it was about a k-3.
That said, how do I continue claiming that shrooms work?  Well, here's my thougth process . .and believe me, I have thought long and hard . . .and boy, is the red-tail-hawk coming out in me, I'm all over  D and watching again!
Anyway, stress, alcohol, and shrimp are HUGE triggers for D (stress and alcohol are common for lots of y'all, I know) . . .anyway, this board stresses him more than y'all can imagine . . .so, for the most part, he stays away from it . . .. but, I told him about the mess that was happening last week, and he came in and read the whole thing . . .and he got a headache . . .
So, what did we do?  Well, I freaked out *L* but, to prove that he is not in some 'spontaneous remission', this rogue hit proves that the treatment still works for D .. .we tested this weekend with LOTS of beer (we were at a party) . . .and guess what?  NO HEADACHE . . .then, the next day, we ate shrimp . ..and guess what?  NO HEADACHE!
So, do we still believe in the shroom?  YES . . .have we taken anything else? NO . . .are we continuing to enjoy a p/f life?  YES .. .is D still a clusterhead?  YES . .is he a cluster sufferer?  NO!!
Anyway, we had a rogue  hit . . .but the power of the shroom didn't allow the beast to take hold *smiles*

I guess one headache a year isn't too bad for a chronic.

JJA .. .1 h/a per year is way livable *L* especially compared to the 20 pervious years of 1 per day being a rocking day *L* and 20+ being the suckage times . . .. hahahahaha

Lee . . .I'm not letting him NEAR this board again!!!  AND, I'm not telling him anything stressful from it!

I admit, the rogue scared me .. .but life is good again *smiles* and we're still p/f . . . .

47 weeks with one kip 3 headache is nothing less than remarkable for a former chronic.  I was convinced at the very beginning that D would respond in a positive way to this treatment, but he has exceeded my expectations.

I can not claim the degree of success that D has had, but I am at least 90% better than I used to be before this treatment.  I should be in full blown cycle now and am not.  Anyway, may you two continue to enjoy these times.  Eat plenty of those Gulf shrimp, drink much beer and enjoy yourselves. Thanks everyone!

John, we wouldn't be here without you!  I remember all the frantic emails, messages, and calls I made to you . . .asking questions . . .looking for reassurance . . .asking for help . . .and you were ALWAYS THERE for us!!  When it came time to meet Flounder, you were there to encourage us to go . . .and you were right, he's a great guy! *g*
Oh, and everytime D puts on that raingear . . .he says, make sure you tell John how much I appreciate this! (He LOVES that rain suit!!!!)
Hopefully, this summer, we'll all be able to get together!
