Epilim (Depakote, Depakene, Valproic Acid, Divalproex sodium) is used by a few as a preventative med......

It was the first med that I used and I had very little success......

How about an increase in the verapamil???
Heart ok?

Anyway....Here is a really good resource to educate yourself further on meds/treatments......

Are you chronic or episodic?

If you are episodic then there is no need to continue verapamil out of cycle and may explain why it is not as effective now as it once was.

Ask the doc to mix in Lithium with the Verap, ive been taking that cocktail everyday for about 13 out of my 30 chronic years.......it stops 80% of all CH's from ever showing up. (For me)

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.
