Caffiene withdrawl headache is an actual defined HA by the IHS. If having such go back to drinking caffiene!!! Then gradually reduce your intake much like tapering off any other medication!!! That will help substantially. Best, Eric

well it is Wednesday now, I stoped the triptans last Friday morning....I had a wonderfull weekend PF then got hit on Sunday night but they were only kip 5-6 and only lasted about 20-30 mins each. This has been the pattern since, every night two-three hits and rather short. But last night got a 30 min kip 9 that is really makeing me think the Kudzu might not be working for me. So im upping my dosage to 1200 mg in the morning and 1200 at night. I'm also upping the verap to two 240 mg pills per day. In addition, im going to try to get my GP to give me some pain pills that are a little bit stronger then the percocets and from a different family of narcs just to keep the beast guessing at what is comming next. I still haven't lost faith in the Kudzu but I am starting to worry that it might not be the thing for me......boo hoo! Rick

When you use two prevention meds at the same time you cannot know which one is working (or not). Ditto for combining an abortive and a pain med: which one is helping? I get uncomfortable reading about folks putting drug combinations together without the guidance of their doc. Not only does it create this situation I've just noted but it may set up side effect issues.

actually I am doing this with advice from both my GP and my nero. And to be honest, I don't care if I don't know which med is doing the trick....just as long as the beast keeps running. Update: pain free for over 24 hours now, sleep like a rock last night. For tonight im going to not take any pain meds and just do the Kudzu, verap and meletonin.
