Ok, I've just had this BRILLIANT idea... since I work on the OUCH newsletter and "inquiring minds want to know" I think the editor should assign me an "investigative" assignment in Vegas -- to check out all Bob G's allegations. I think about a week should do it.... Do you THINK the BOD would approve funds for that EDITOR???   Seemed like a good idea to me on a Sunday afternoon... Undecided

We made it up to 19.... and Donna's fixin' fried twinkies with birthday candles.... What can I SAY Huh

the birthday gang will be:

BarbaraD

Glad we got all that figured out.

Oh, I'm a Virgo...August 30th.  Can't ya tell?

BD,

I believe you will need an escort to that investigative trip to Vegas as I'm sure there will be so much of nothing to prove that boredom might set in on you and you will need a gambling partner.  I can play most all table games, especially craps, but prefer poker rooms myself.  What is your favorite?

Oh, get approval for the Golden Nugget as downtown is MUCH better than the busy strip.  What time does our flight depart?   Grin Grin Grin

A page a day, plus one extra page in there somewhere.  We better get busy!

I do believe that due to the number and nature of Bob G's allegations that it is imperative that we do a thorough investigation.  Headed up of course by yours truly...and where would I be without my team of investigative reporters?

Phase one of the plan begins with the interrogation of every slot machine attendant in sight...all done covertly, of course

Phase two...blackjack dealers.

Phase three...luxury hotel employees.

Phase four...waitstaff at fine dining establishments in the Greater Vegas area.

Since the President is a fellow Texan I am sure he will want to join this team as well, so approval should be no-problemo!

So.....

Are we there yet?

Suspiciously Yours,

Barbara and Renee, Don is coming to town in April. How about ya'll doing the same? The Golden Nugget wouldn't stand a chance against 3 Texans.

Never mind............The Golden Nugget must be monitoring this board. They just called and said "No Way. We can't have 2 Texans in the casino at one time. Especially 2 Female Texans. Too much distraction for the other losers players.

Come on ladies. And bring money. The MGM will let you in. My grandson needs a new school and the highway I drive every day is a piece of crap. Every dollar you lose spend means more dollars I don't get taxed on.

It appears this investigation into Bob's allegations may take a rather large crew to facilitate proper results.

I believe it will take many as I now feel we need to also inspect every poker chip and every set of dice.  Thus, I feel we should go to the BoD requesting the Texas Meet and Greet be extended into a few more days and we will need a charter jet to get to our destination in a timely manner and get all inspections completed and reports generated, bills banded, etc..

We will then need an extra day and extra jet to return to Dallas.  Upon return, we will need to unload the second jet and go directly to the bank.

I feel, due to the fact that the BoD is backing us, that we should offer a percentage of load from the second jet to OUCH.

Upon completing business at the bank, we will then need to find proper accomodations to gather our notes together and compare our reports.  I feel this can be accomplished by utilizing the initial jet and going to a quiet setting near the ocean where there will be no distractions.  I feel with the gravity of this situation that anything closer than Antigua could lead to infiltration by those accused.

My bags are packed as well.  Let me know what time to reserve the private jet(s).

Your timely response is appreciated,
Renee

For the Curious....

Fried Twinkies

Deep-Fried Twinkies
by: unknown

For Twinkies:
6 Twinkies
Popsicle sticks
4 cups vegetable oil
Flour for dusting

For batter:
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Chill or freeze Twinkies for several hours or overnight.
Heat 4 cups vegetable oil in deep fryer to about 375 degrees.
To make batter: Mix together milk, vinegar and oil. In another bowl,
blend flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk wet ingredients into dry
and continue mixing until smooth. Refrigerate while oil heats.
Push stick into Twinkie lengthwise, leaving about 2 inches to use as
a handle, dust with flour and dip into the batter. Rotate Twinkie
until batter covers entire cake. Place carefully in hot oil. The
Twinkie will float, so hold it under with a utensil to ensure even
browning. It should turn golden in 3 to 4 minutes. Depending on the
size of your deep fryer, you might be able to fry only one at a time,
two at the most.
Remove Twinkie to paper towel and let drain. Remove stick and allow
Twinkie to sit for about 5 minutes before serving.

Makes 6.
Variation:
Slice Twinkie into 4 pieces. Flour and batter each before frying. With
this treatment, one Twinkie will serve two people if accompanied by a
sauce.

 Grin

I vote for Caymen after we "inspect" Bob's allegations in Vegas. The Second Jet can fly directly there and we'll just meet it. They have GOOD banks there.....

Compiling our notes may take a while (say at least a month or so). Of course this will be on our expense account - right?

And BOB G - what the devil are you doing to those roads? My goodness - I just "paid" to have them built a couple of years ago. I think someone might be skimming off the top or something if they're already bad.

And the GOlden Nuggett LOVES me - at least they SAY they do in the letters they send me. They want to roll out the red carpet if I'll just come visit.  Smiley But then again, Harrah's wants me to go to Laughlin (probably misspelled but a nice place) or Reno to check out their facilities too. So many casinos - so little time.....

Good Morning All,

Let's stay away from Reno unless we are going to stay inside the casino we are residing at OR...if we are driving up to Tahoe then Reno is a wonderful place to land.

Of course, in our private jet, we should be able to land at the small airport in Tahoe.

5
DAYS
AND
COUNTING!!!

Yes, some of us attempt to sleep!  Didn't do to well at it last night.  Kept getting woke to fears of laptop croaking and some odd pain over my left eye.  Wonder what that might be?

Have a good one,
