Looks like Davenport's gonna have a circus come to town this January. We've got hillbillies, midgets, people with bells on, everyone in slippers, and some big guy wearing pajamas. Of course there will be LOTS of animals.

OK so here's my current list of questions!
1. Is it best to get there Friday and leave Monday? I'm trying to get my vacation days in for this as the schedule request should be out for that time now. And I have to switch work weekends with someone so I want to make sure I get this right!
2. If you were me and coming from Philadelphia, would you drive or fly? Is flying just cheaper at this point because of gas costs? Do you fly into Moline?
3. Does anyone need a roommate as of yet? I haven't even looked into accomodations....
I know I'm getting a late start here, but it wasn't until I started to see that I have a real job and can take vacation days....this has never been an option for me for Nashville and I couldn't come to Dallas altogether! So I really want to be in Davenport in January!!! Just trying to work out the details....

You fly into Moline (MLI)...which is in Illinois. The hotel has a shuttle that will pick you up for free. When you get to the airport in Moline (a very small airport, I must say) then you pick up a courtesy phone and call the Steeplegate Inn...or advise ahead of time, and someone with a vehicle will pick you up.
As far as the Friday arrival...that's your choice. I always go on Thursday...it's cheaper for me to fly out of Houston on Thursday. Then I will return on Sunday.
Because of weather/snow conditions...you may want to fly instead of driving....but of course, that's up to you.
The party will begin on Thursday...always has it seems...usually Tina & Ramon are there, myself, Jackie & Blake, River Rat, Terry, Cat, Blue Meanie and sister...and a few others.
See you in January!!!

David and I are booked and we will be there from thursday to monday, easier to fly home on a weekday for us. Woobs do you want to keep a record of our reservation numbers or anything like that? (I did book a poolside room by the way!)
I'm really excited now, its getting closer and now we're booked up its REAL!
Just to add its Guy Fawkes here so there were fireworks going off outside like no ones business while I was trying to call. The poor woman the other end thought we were having the house remodelled so I told her we were actually in Downtown Beirut not England at all...

Anyway, Jackie and Blake will be there Thursday with a car...and there will be several others...post your arrival time, and if it's in the evening, someone will come and get you and David.
My flight comes in around 10:30 a.m. I know Bill is flying in...not sure what time though.
Anyway...if you and David fly in early, then the shuttle can pick you up...if it's late, then a clusterhead will pick you up. Quite easy....
