It was 105 degrees on my porch yesterday!
Jun 10th, 2008 at 7:11am

YUCK! I can't stand the heat when it gets that hot. We (my brother and I) are working on a new project here. We are redoing our porch put up walls and windows. Be more of a sun room. But we will be able to heat it and cool it.
Its been about to break my back. The heat is unreal here. Its will be cooler this week in the high 80's we are hoping for clouds. I pray for clouds in the morning and rain in the evenings. Hope to get the porch done this week or early next week. Its our last project for the summer. YES ! Then it will be vacation time.
We have our tomato garden done and tomatoes already. OK they aren't red yet but they are getting there.
We built JD swing and play house, we had the roof redone from the hail storm and new siding put on, the porch and the garden and three rooms of new furniture. We needed new furniture ours had been through 6 kids and grandkids and many cats and dogs over the years.
Starting next week I plan to spend a lot of time at the lake.

Whats your weather and what projects do you all have going on for the summer?

Triple H's here, Hot, Hazy and Humid. T-storms for today.
No complaints here after last winter, at least we do not have to shovel this stuff! Smiley

A few thousand miles makes a huge difference - we had about 3 inches of that white stuff yesterday.  It's gone today and raining with the temp just above the freezing mark.
Makes for lousy fishing weather!

I am pretty sure that you have sent this our way..... We are supposed to get snow below 5000 feet tonight in to tomorrow. Shocked

Elaine,
Pretty sure I would much rather have 40's and snow than 100+ degrees ..... try to stay cool.  Smiley

It's hot, humid and not raining at the moment (we have had enough rain!!)

Just finished a new paver patio out back, have all the planters filled with flowers, and two tomato plants that have no tomoato's yet.

I've been working outside every weekend...........I put on my swimsuit with a cover-up and when it gets too hot, I jump in the lake.  Cool

Hi Lady E. Good to see ya.
It was only 103 here today and windy. That’s about normal since we live in the middle of the desert. On the new front porch it was only about 92. Yep! NEW porch. Just had it built last month. Just in time for it to be too hot to enjoy.
2 months ago I took the hot rod apart. Didn’t like the paint job. Repainted it and got it back together last week and it goes back to the upholstery shop tomorrow. Didn't like the old upholstery either. Then it goes to Arizona for license plates. Nevada sucks big time about registering a hot rod.
Renon just bought 2 Honda quads today. We’re going to a family reunion this weekend and she said she wants the grandkids to go riding with her.
That’s about it for now. Thanks for asking.

And it's still cold in SoCal.  I'm wearing sweats and have blanket on my lap.

Weird

The rest of you - stay cool and/or dry (depending on where you are)

Yikes Elaine.

I thought I had it bad when it hit 90 yesterday. Not a good time to mow lawns up here.

Hunker down kids.

It's been rainier and cooler than usual so far this year.  Good thing, because it's slowed down the runoff, which would have been very impressive after all the snow this winter if it had gotten hot all of a sudden.

Right now it's spitting a little rain, and 57 degrees F.

La Nina, they say... (don't know how to make the little squiggle over the "N". )

Best,

George

105 degrees is never good, but neither is 7 inches of rain in a day.

I hate feeling like I'm going to go kayaking in my friend's '96 Escort whenever we go anywhere...

105!!!  YUCK does not even come close to describing it.  I'll take 30 below over 105 any time.  (unless I'm standing naked in the snow) Undecided
