Fortunate to not suffer from cluster headaches
Sep 19th, 2008 at 12:38am

I would just like to say how fortunate I feel to not suffer from cluster headaches or any other form of pain. I have a patient in my General Practice who regularly becomes severely incapacitated by cluster headaches. He is educating himself via this website , is being trialled on appropriate treatments, and hopefully will be able to regain some control over this condition soon.

We're just as happy as you are, Robert, that you don't need to endure this nightmare and any information we can pass your way to help you help others is yours free for nothing.

Thank you for caring and good health to you and yours,

Brian down under.

wow glad to have you here.
I will add a little something about my GP Doctor M Baldeck.
he is a good man and sincerly cares. He walks this journey with me.
his compassion and sincere listening helps me in ways he will probably never know.
as a chronic fighting this beast it sucks alot of life out of me and having a GP that doesn't judge me or write me off after a 3 minute visit is invaluable. instead he spends as long as it takes with me, is willing to get me the tools i need and gets me in when im bad off. He protects me from judgemental er Physicians. He works closely with my neuro Doctor who is also a real professional. I think very highly of this professional.

Please note there is a difference in my mind between a physician and Doctor. kindof like the the difference between a father and a Dad or mother and a mom.

Smiley
i consider myself blessed having him as my Doctor and after years of physicians that are the opposite. It gives me one less battle to fight.

Thank you for being there for a fellow clusterhead and please never underestimate the blessing you provide to this patient and i am willing to bet all your other patients too.
ther are many folks here that can provide wisdom, compassion and support. for your patient and you

It is a pleasure and an honor to have you visit this site on behalf of your patient.

I'm sure that this first hand information will be quite informative, and hopefully, will benefit other patients as well.

We've had visits from literally 10's of thousands of people looking for relief from this excruciating pain, and after compiling our own information from our own experiences, have come up with some pretty good and solid bits of advice.

All medications and theories do not work for all people, but most come away with something that helps them. When you peruse this site, you will note remedies, such as oxygen at 15 ltr. or higher at the onset of a headache, which helps the majority of us abort the headache.

It would be very interesting to hear from you again with what has helped most for your patient.

Thank you for taking the time to post and for your interest in our site.

Robert,
Nice to see you post up, apparently we are a very rare and misunderstood bunch, from a medical standpoint.
Speaking as a person who went over three years before being officially diagnosed, I thank you for your interest. This site has been extremely helpful to those of us fortunate enough to have found it, I now have more ammo to fight the beast then ever before and we draw strength from each other. Just knowing you took the time, tells me you are a credit to your profession.
