That second article makes perfect sense if you believe that government should control religion and that people should not be free  - something that Saudi Arabia and Russia seem to agree on.

Nothing like good old fashoned foreign relations policies to break down communications barriers.

Would the owner of the propane torch, egg beater, pipe expander and vise grips please claim these items. They're lodged in my head and I need the space.

Hee hee hee.... Cool

The second article fits right in with my take on the shit we've had to put up with by dealing with genocidal creeps.

Good for the Russians.

Thanks Mike.

Sometimes it seems so simple.

Both stories made me smile.

Just reading the first article, I love this line:

Quote:
A Russian official claimed that 10 pirates seized by Russian special forces aboard an oil tanker last week were quickly freed but then ...

I can just see them heading a long way back to the coast.  "Hey Abu, you think something's up?"

a bit nervy for that hour?

I don't necessarily agree with everything Putin does, but the man is not afraid of doing what he thinks is right with out worrying about what everyone else thinks. I bet he doesn't go on a world apology tour any time soon.

I think they should use the old laws, if you are caught and determined to be a pirate then you get executed plain and simple. As poor and desperate as these people are it would probably not end piracy but it would lessen how many try it twice.
