Have you ever seen a headache specialist?

Hi there,

As far as things you could try at home...just for a bit of relief, icing your neck...I keep an ice pack and always sleep with it...

I take a lot of hot showers...

I hope you feel better soon.

Totally agree with Brew, a good neurologist who specializes in headaches will be able to set you up with a good preventive (like verapamil or lithium) to limit the number of CHs you get and then abortives (like oxygen and imitrex) to kill off CHs that get through in minutes.

Tell us more about what you've done so far and we can give suggestions.

Hi Crystal
I wonder why you never came back to the board... how bad have been the past 2 months? Did you see a specialist? I'm certain there is a solution for you, would it be oxygen, nasal spray or other tricks to abort the hits, and a good preventive measure...
I suffered alone in silence for 27 years before finding out there actually ARE people who will understand.
Ice has been my savior for the past 12 years, but it's nothing compared to verapamil... for me anyways
caffeine also help a LOT and apparently energy drinks.
I'm sure everyone here would be glad to hear from you and help you

Hot towels sometimes help, and if you put them in the microwave and get them as hot as you can stand them they can help.
I have to use a hot shower, as hot as I can stand it...
and pace or run in place.
The O2 this site promotes works well but not all the time.
Try these things, and I hope you find some relief.
