As some of you may know I have been using Biofeed back self hypnosid for the last three months to control the CH pain. During this time I have been able to abort the pain in just a few minutes. I have been sucessful at this even on the ones that are a 10. But starting a week ago I have been in an almost non stop series of headaches. I have been able to control most of these but when I have got to the point of total exhaustion I could not concentrate to the point I need to and I would go to sleep while I was in the trance waking up with the monster stabbing my eye agin. So lasr night after years (10) of fighting this monster I gave in and went to the emergency room for my first Imitrex injection. My nuro had given me a letter to have them give it to me for the first time. She wanted me monitored for the first shot. Thank God it worked. Pain was gone in about 20 min. and I have had a restful day.
She also had given me a prescription for Depakote that I have not taken yet. Said side effects are weight gain, palsy tremmors,hair loss and some others my poor befudled brain can`t remember. Have any of you taken this and how do you feel about it?
