How to post your message immediately

I have an IBM computer, not a mac. Everytime I want to post a message that want an immediate answer for, I have to close off Aol and log back on. I know there must be an easier way.

Please put it very easy so I can follow. This is one time that I will tell you, I am A Dame and have blond hair, be gentle with instructions.

I hope I am not the only one that is having trouble with this.....
