O2 and insurance

I'm curious as to your experiences regarding insurance coverage for oxygen. My new-and not improved- insurer claims that O2 is not "really" a prescription, thus not covered by my "drug card". Rather, it falls under major medical, which means I pay out of my pocket until the f____ deductible is met. Just wondering about others' experiences.
