I've never done the prednisone burst. I was put on a low dose of pred. for the duration of a cluster. It didn't help and I blew up like a beach ball (lost site of the same organ as the lithum users below).
I used lidocaine nasal spray for the first time last cluster. It too didn't help much. Maybe numbed some of the pain in the inner sinus area but the HA came on as fast and hard as ever. No probs using or stopping lidocaine, it's just a local anistetic.
