I use Capsaicin Cream (Zosterix) to abort a c/h or to relieve the intensity of an attack. This was perscribed by my neuro years ago with the instructions to rub into the temple of the effected side. It Works! Later my Mom sent me a clipping from , of all places, The National Enquirer, with the blaring headline "New Cure for Cluster Headaches", Which said to put Pepper extract cream into the nostril to "cure" c/h.
It took alot of balls to try, especially in the middle of a rip roaring H/A but it worked!!
Just a bit on a Q tip as far back into the nostril as you can get it. not a "cure" but helps.
