what you describe is one of the first tier ergotamine side effects that tell you your circulatory system is getting TOO restricted

everybody's tolerance for ercaf/cafergot is different because it's effect is directly linked to blood pressure and existing condition of the CV system - the ergot constricts the blood vessels, and the caffiene increases the blood pressure to keep the blood flow going thru the constricted vessels

Riccardo's got a good idea BUT - this isn't really a side effect, it's a direct effect, and a pretty simple one - can't imagine there would be a compensating compound that would retain the effect

be sure your doc knows about this - s/he will want to adjust your meds or try something different

BTW- as far as I can tell they USED TO try this med as a preventive - put folks on a regular scheule of it - but it never really worked well that way;
the limits - if I remember right - are something like 3 (5?) a day, but only 10/week , and then only 30 a month IF - and only IF - there were no adverse side effects

good luck - ck w/the doc
