I went back to read my post - and I am a little perplexed as to where it is that I say Gary is talking about bringing on a cycle. The premise is emotions/stress/psychological state and its effect on intensity/frequency of an attack once in a cycle.

This seems to be an issue where the lines are pretty well drawn. I happen to think that emotions/stress/pshcylogical states have no effect on the intensity/frequency of an attack. ( in or out of a cycle ). I know others feel strongly otherwise and that is fine with me.

I believe emotions/stess/psychological state effect our ability to cope with pain but I do not think they effect how often or how intense our attacks will be when we are in a cycle.

I think that this is somewhat important in the study of clusters because I think that one of the things that most distinguishes clusters from other types of headache ( such as tension/migraine ) is that they are independent of emotions/stress/psychological state ( in or out of a cycle ).
