How are you supposed to educate people around you when they refuse to be educated? That's my question for this year.
I've tried to get my family to read through information at this site, but they seem unable to let go of their own theories about my headaches. My mom still thinks that I get them because my hair is too long and thick. She thinks the weight of my hair is causing strain on my head. She also thinks that stress is the only cause. I don't quite believe that's the only cause, but a good friend has educated me about it being a factor. My dad has no opinion and seems completely disinterested in the topic.
I've asked them three times now to look into the info on this site so they could understand what I'm going through. Finally my mom got upset and told me that she's known me her whole life and doesn't need to read any info about it. She said "you get the same headaches as the rest of us dear, just cut down on the stress and you'll be fine." (No wonder I'm banging my head against the wall, more like a brick wall)
