Narcotics can also cause Cluster Headaches and migranes.
I'm 27 years old and was born with arthritis so I take
Lortab (hydrocodone 7.5/APAP 500) 5 to 8 times a day
depending on the pain. I have noticed that the days
I take more pills seem to be followed by either a Cluster Headache
or a migraine (sometimes even with the aura). I read
about this thing called rebound. It said that what can
happen is that when the medication wears off the pain
comes back stronger. I've been experiencing the C.H.
and migranes for a couple years now and when they start
they last, a lot of the time, for more than a week.
I found that taking 2 vivarin (caffiene pills), 2 asprin,
and 2 tylenol releaves a great deal of the pain. I know it's
pretty much the same as excedrin but in larger doses.
