do they weakin over time

as many know, my first 14yrs chronic were with no meds. which was pure hell, as many have also gone through. but then i got meds which reduced how many i got and how bad they got. now i find myself almost 10 yrs later and i get fewer CH's than ever before. and the pain also is not as bad as it once was (dont get me wrong i still get banged) just not as bad.

can we hope that there is a time line, and if so why.
mine started a 14yrs old, im now almost 38.
anyone out there find they lessen in time.
