Sorry to hear about your rough day.

For what it's worth, I'm having 'female problems' also. My recent ex and I can't seem to agree on how to divide the furniture, etc. :-)

Now, as to your contacts. Are the soft or hard lenses? Didn't understand your 'furring up' comment.

If they are softies, they will have absorbed all the bathwater stuff....soap, dirt, etc. May not be able to save them, but you just might, if you strike fast.

First, do your normal disinfection routine. Then, see if you have Alcon Supraclens over there. (Sorry, don't know if it's under a different name across the pond) It's fantastic stuff.

Then, after you follow the Supraclens directions, soak them for a day in sterile saline solution, changing it every 1/2 hour for the first couple of hours, then every 2 hours until you go to bed. Change just before bed and let them soak overnight. In the morning, rinse thoroughly with more saline and give ONE a try. If your eye burns at all, yank it out and go get new ones. If it feels 'normal', go ahead and put the other one in. Monitor how you feel and whether your eyes get bloodshot closely, and yank them at any sign of redness (other than CH/CPH caused)

Bad news is soft lenses absorb all liquids....good news is you can sometimes get it out by this process.

Hang in there, gal.
