Why avoid calcium? Maybe you are confused because one of the preventive medications for CH is a so called "calcium channel antagonist".
But that only means that the medication inhibits nerve impulses that want to leap across the synapse through the so called calcium channel.
So the medication is not an antagonist of calcium, but of the channel.
Please go on consuming calcium. It's rather essential to the human body.
