fighting through the pain (with the pain?)

I've never figured this out... why the fight with the CHs but not with the migs... I've tried to break the habit, but to no avail. I sometimes wonder if CHs, or whatever causes them, are sentient and thus a true adversary to be battled with.. whereas maybe with migs it's just a condition...
