Ijust tried Imitrex for the first time last Wednesday. I got the injection at about 3:30 in the afternoon. It brought the headache down very quickly from about a nine or do to an agreeable 4 or 5. Well, I had this 4 or 5 for the next thirty-six hours. Woke up Friday morning and the headache was completely gone, no lurking, not even that tell-tale shadow that's almost always there. I was in Heaven for the next two days. Then came Sunday night. Yep, the little bastard cut his own parole and brought a few of his freinds with him. In about five minutes, it went from a shadow, to the worst headache I've ever had. I went back to the hospital the next morning and recieved TWO injections. Same story. Thirty-six hours of minor hell, and then it was gone. now it's back again, but not so bad. Does this sound normal for Imitrex treatment? Please let me know, someone.
