You need only take about a quarter of what one would take for a "trip". So far, that seems sufficient to do the job on virtually everyone who has tried it.

A couple of people underdosed the first time around and had to take a second, slightly larger dose a week later to clear up lingering shadows or the occasional breakthrough headache.

The key is to start with a sub-hallucinogenic dose. No need whatsoever to even approach the threshold at which the side effects you detail take place. You can if you want to, but it is not necessary.

As for medicine men, I live in the Dominican Republic. The local "curanderos" (medicine men) have known about this therapy for vascular headaches (migraines and cluster headaches... probably works for Ice Pick headaches, too) for as long as anyone can remember. They brew up fresh picked mushrooms in a tea.

Mushrooms are not addictive. They are actually "counter-addictive", in that they will not produce any effect if taken too close together in time. It is necessary to wait four to five days after a dose -- a week is probably better.

South Georgia is certainly one of the easiest places to find wild specimens. There are fields there with literally thousands of pounds of psilocybe cubensis growing in them. Make sure you pick the right ones, okay?

If you intend to gather wild specimens, a large part of the post linked below will be irrelevant to you, but you may want to check it out anyway.

Good luck!
