Well, it's 3:30am. About an hour ago I woke with the 3rd headache I'd had in the last 25 hrs. I'd used the last of my imitrex this afternoon, unfortunately, but snorted my lidocaine vigorously. No joy.

This one was a doozy, (about a 9 on the kipp), so I got out of my futon and started my dance. 50 push ups and 50 sit ups... no change. I threw on some jeans and a t-shirt and a jacket and took to the cold, Iowa sidewalks and powerwalked a mile. Ahhhhh, sweet relief.

This brings me to my current thought. I'm nearing the 2 month mark on this session of clusters and I'm in great physical condition thanks to routines like this. Last week a nurse was amazed to find my resting pulse to be 55 and BP 105/70. 2 weeks ago I got into a push up contest with a 20 year old (I'm 44). He dropped out at 40 and I quit out of boredom at 70.

I'm always in my best physical condition after a month or so of clusters. Has anyone else found this to be the case? It's nice there's at least one positive thing about them for me.
