Ruptured disks and clusters

Do any of you also have something wrong with the disks in your neck? My husband has had clusters for 11 years and today a doctor told him his headaches are because he has a ruptured disk between the 4th and 5th vertebrae. Everyday, he has 4-6 attacks. They last from 10 mins. to more than an hour. He is one of the 10% that do not have any pain-free time. It's 365 days a year that he suffers.
Anymore "NECK" people out there?
