Thought that this would be the message where I told you all how geat I'm doing, and how the ha's have finally gone away. Had been taking 160 mg inderal, and 320 mg verapamil. After just a few days, number of headaches went from 5 or more every day to only 1 or 2. Life was good. The week of April 15 I was able to work until 7:00pm all week, which I have not been able to do in months.I studied, and ate, and acted just like normal people. Saturday morning I went grocery shopping. While I was out i had my third episode of something called migraine induced stroke. (yes I get them both) Very scary, but apparently not dangerous. Lost control of my left side, and when it did nt come back after 3hrs I thought I might need to see a dr. I hate hopitals, and ER's with a passion, but no hope for it. I will say they were very speedy finding me a bed. My heart rate had dropped to 36, and even with some meds injected only went up to 45. Needless to say I had a killer headaches right about now as well. The upshot is they have taken away the mix of drugs that was working, and I am back in hell. Called my dr. this am to tell him that I intended to continue with the old level of inderal, which got me a pretty rapid return call. End result I am now (in addition to the verapamil) taking 600 mg of lithium. Don't know too much about this drug, but I hope it works quickly. Dr approval or no, I am not giving up what works without a fight. Could use some insights into how dangerous this might be. Seems like the alternative is more dangerous because I ill surely end up damaging my head beating it up. help!.
