My "other half" is currently taking topamax and it seemed to be helping but he had a really killer 11 points on the kip scale headache yesterday and the topamax didn't help at all. We asked the doctor about Imitrex because we see it has helped a lot of people on this list but he is a smoker so the doctor won't let him try that because the risks are too high. Anyone else have this problem?? Well the doctor also said that if he quits smoking that there's a 50% chance that the cycles will stop all together....so he's going to quit smoking after 20 some years, anything to have a chance of stopping the pain!
