An E tank, flowing at 8 LPM should last about 45 minutes. Like Paco said though, no need using it more than 10 or 15 minutes. I've been going through 4 E tanks every 2 weeks. I've been pretty successful in knocking the HAs down in 5 or 10 minutes at 8 LPM (that's the highest the regulator will go).
I keep one tank in my office at work, carry one in car, and keep the rest at home. During a cluster I just don't go anywhere where I'm more than a minute or two from my car (except for that stupid hike I took in the Sierra the other week and did I ever pay the price for that one. Anyone ever been in the wilderness at 10,000 feet elevation with a Kip 10? Kinda hard to appreciate nature at a moment like that!)
