Had my first 'complete CH experience' in front of a doctor today. Talk about embarrassing! Poor man walked into a room containing a relatively normal-looking (I said 'looking', so no comments please) woman who within minutes became blotchy, runny, swollen and sweaty. If he didn't before, I'm pretty sure he has a good idea what cluster headaches entail now....
How'd I manage to show it all? Not only did he read all my neuro's notes on me for the last 30 days, he was in the room with me for well over a half hour straight!
Now before anyone decides to take me to task for being embarrassed: I need to keep my sense of humor in order to stay sane....trying to think of what he must be seeing, outside of the pain, can sometimes make me actually laugh out loud... A good attitude does wonders.
