We forget sometimes that our dogs and cats know when clusterheads are going to get hit (usually before the attack hits, in fact) and how scary it must be for them to see their masters in pain and not understand why.
So, to all supporters out there - take the time to comfort them too if you can.
I know this might sound cheesy but hopefully the pet lovers in the audience will understand.
