This thread is about the success story of Miapet and D.
How successful their treatment is for others too, you can read in another thread on this page.
We all here know the people and their cluster headache stories, and so we can believe their testimonial.

On the other hand you tell us nothing about yourself, not even if you're male or female. Instead you plug an extremely dubious quack procedure, that has to show up one little case of a "cure" for CH. BTW, are you "Jeremy" from the elster web site, the one who consulted over 50 neurologist in 13 year (that is one every three month)?

Here's a challenge for you:
Modern Medicine can show for the past 100 years many really great advances in health care, from eradication some diseases like pox and polio to advances in surgery, today surgery on the open heart has a better success rate than appendectomy a hundred years ago.

Can you tell us about similar success stories by  holistic "medicine", something bringing consistently improvement, not just some rare chance result? If not, STFU (shut the fuck up) and stop messing up our message boards with your shameless quack plugs.

PS, from Merriam-Webster:
The holistic medicine attempts to treat both the mind and the body.
Get ready to run as fast as you can before you tell a clusterhead that "it's all in your mind".

Where was all this info 20 years ago. I knew there had to be something out there, all I had to do was talk to the right person. For me the magic bullet is prednisone but I worry about long term use. I am getting less time between courses. I'm 62 and will try anything. I'm leaving New Brunswick Canada for my winter trip to Arizona and will try to find people that have some knowledge about mushrooms. I haven't a clue what to look for but as soon as I find out you can bet I'll try them. All this info is great and thanks to all of you, I'll beat this yet.

Tex, if you're on pred, you definitely shouldn't try the shrooms.  It's better to be completely med-free if at all possible before you dose.

You're on "long-term" prednisone?  Or do you mean that you do a short course of pred with each cluster cycle.  There are other preventative meds out there - pred can be pretty brutal on the system.

Don't forget to check us out over at the Canadian cluster site, as well:  http://www.clusterheadaches.ca.  I think you've got some clusterhead neighbours there in the Maritimes. Wink

Margi I'll check out the site. At first I would go months without headaches then it went to weeks now it's down to days. I would only try after I finished the pred. Thanks for the info

Tex,  we totally understand the 20 year remark!!  As Margi said, you need to be med free.  5 days minimum is the standard . . .D was med free even longer than that.  o2 as an abortive was a life saver.
If you're going to try to 'look' (and I'm guessing pick), you need to know what you're looking for . . and better yet, someone who knows so they can verify that's what you found!
Again, Margi provided you with great info, and the clusterbuster site will answer tons of your questions.
We wish you well.

thanks miapet, as I said I'll be heading south this winter
and won't be able to try this till I get back to canada. But I should be able to get a lot of info while I'm south. When I try this I'll want to be on familiar ground. This is great news for all lets hope this gets out to all sufferers.
again thanks to all.

Each week my wife asks, "how's *D*"?  My answer is always the same............he's doing great.  It always puts a smile on both of our faces when I say this to her.

Incidently, I'm on the way to recovery after two doses to break this cycle that I'm in now.  Down to a few minor shadows. I feel like a human again.

I don't remember authorizing any alcohol consumption in D's treatment plan Wink  beer

That's great that you guys could share a brew.
I'm still planning on coming out with my soon to be famous Clusterbusters Shroom Ale. I know I'll make a fortune if I can just get it past the TABC approval.
I'll be taking orders soon. Grin

Warning, Clusterbusters Shroom Ale may cause and abort a Cluster Headache at the same time. This could be very confusing to a clusterhead. The manufacturer recomends that this product should be taken with a grain of salt
