Sorry I have been MIA, haven't been doing so well...

The meet & greet in TX sounds great...I am not too far from Dallas. (Please do it in Dallas, I always get lost in Ft. Worth!  Smiley )

I should be able to make it, Mike(hubby) will be with me I am sure. We would have to stay overnight. We can make our own accomodations if need be, he grew up down there. Just keep me posted on what everyone else is doing.

I am excited about meeting some other clusterheads! This will be a first for me, and hopefully by then I will be under control.

PFDAN to all of you.

I've got a friend that owns a bar down in Deep Ellum, it's called "Coyote Ugly", but it might not be our kind of place. It has the girls dancing on the bar doing body shots.....the whole bit..... Grin  Also, in Dallas, there isn't any smoking...even in bars.  Rob would let us smoke, but I think the place only has about five tables.

There is a place on the tollway, just north of 635, it has a very nice bar with soft jazz playing, but it also has a restaurant and a jazz club.  The bar sells pretty good munchies, and you can smoke.  There are a lot of hotels pretty close by too.  Let me know if this sounds good to ya'll, and I'll call them and check out the hours and reservations.

Could Mik dance and get body shots?

Either sounds good to me. Just let us know when the plans are in concrete and we'll be there with bells on (or a string bikini - whatever).

I think Drinking and Smoking are the two essentials. Other than that we don't need any entertainment. We'll have each other and we're pretty entertaining by ourselves.

I think we need to find a suburb town just north of Dallas so we don't have to worry about Dallas' mayor wonderful smoking ban that is costing the city of Dallas tons of money.

Do y'all prefer a restaurant (that serves alcohol and smoking)?  I know we need a smoking/alcohol area but txbasslady and I do not drink alcohol and it would be hard to talk in a loud bar.

I know of several restaurants just north of Dallas that might accomodate us, if this sounds good.  La Hacienda has steaks and mexican food and has an enclosed smoking room where we could make reservations for one large table but we would need to set the time outside of evening dining hours, i would think.  They also have good margaritas, i'm told.  Plus, if weather is cooperatibe, they have a large fireplace with lots of seating area outside.  This restaurant is on the service road of interstate i-35e.

how does this sound?

so sorry about being MIA, have had a ch weekend.

There are a lot of places in Addison where they allow smoking and encourage drinking, bars, restaurants and hotels.  It seems to me a hotel could be a good place that has a quiet lobby to hang out in along with a bar where smoking is allowed.  If we found the right place we could take over the bar, the lobby and maybe the whole damn place.........this way there is really no time limit as to how long we can all hang out together and for those who want, or need, there is a room waiting.

BTW, those of you that have never met another clusterhead, or even those that have, do NOT cancel out or not go just because you are in cycle!  Remember, these are the ones that KNOW what it is!  When we had our meet in South Carolina, two of us had to leave the room, a couple times,  for a short time to deal with the beast.  No big thing.  Everyone knew what was happening, and everyone understood.  This is the one time you don't have to worry about what people will think if you get hit.

It is such a unique experience to meet other clusterheads, don't let a minor thing like being in cycle stop you.  You will regret it if you do!

I'm in cycle and have been for almost 4 months.  The demon woke up with me today banging louder than he has in months.

I have never met another clusterhead and, of course, i'm nervous but I NEED to meet my ch family and can't wait to see your faces.

of course, my face might be a bit droopy on left side if this demon doesn't give me a break...lol

Aye! That be a 4 hour march from our lair. Methinks the old van is roadworthy enough to carry our band that far!

We'll be needin to plunder a room in some seedy nearby inn soes the boys can sleep while the wench prowls the night as is her custom.

Pick some harbor and we'll set sail.

We make our own rules...let em tell me to not smoke as they look down the shaft of 2 feet of sharpen steel that's coated with the dried yellow blood of a score of smileys.

I'm keepin' a list and checkin' it twice..oh, a bit late for that... Grin

I've got a list just a rollin'.

ya know, California has it's own OUCH, Florida does also.  Where is Texas?  Smack dab in the middle of those two.

T.O.U.C.H.....here we come!

I have some good fundraising ideas to consider:

1. Sell Quincy Carter to any team stupid enough to take him.
2.  Trade Tippett for a REAL NHL coach and keep the cost savings.
3.  Collect cow patties and hold them for ransom just in case Jonny starts running low....love ya Jonny!   Kiss

How about Sunday, Feb. 29 around 2'ish?  If this sounds good then I'll get things moving on a confirmed location.  If not....just let me know and we can adjust the time and/or day but let's get some time set and get rolling.

Can't wait to meet y'all!

Saturday after 5 pm is good for me but y'all can go ahead and start earlier on Saturday and I'll just catch up on the Dr. Pepper when I get there.

Or, Sunday is good.  I was thinking Sunday only because I wasn't sure when Cat and Roxy would be returning to Texas.
