I am sorry to disagree with you here Carolyn.

ch.com doesn't have a convention. Separate groups may get together through-out the year for a lunch or dinner with several folks who live near-by, and for a number of years we've had a multi-day get together in January.

The convention we have every year in July is planned, paid for, and put on by O.U.C.H and is our annual meeting of the membership. It includes Important speakers and reports from the committees, and officers among other activities.

I hope that clarifies it Las Vegas

OKAY! I had already made the decision that I was going to make it to the convention this year and I just realized that I have just used all of my vacation and sick time on this Leave-of Absence that I am on right now. However, Atl is to close to home and I do have family there. So, I may just have to put in for a lomg weekend this time and stay at my family's house to save money. I refuse to pass up the oppurtunity to to meet all of you this time. You all really have saved my life hear on numerous occassions here in thepast years and I would like to thank all of you face-to-face. Kiss

For those who are going for the first time, or thinking about it.... here are a few random thoughts:

1. GO.
2. Watch your backside. There are wandering hands.
3. Go
4. If you go, you have to hug people for me. trust me, by the end, you probably will be glad to do it.
5. Go
6. If you have never seen anyone else get hit in person, be ready for it. I wanted to cry at first because I understood the pain, but once you see how the vets handle it, it really is an experience that is helpful (especially if you have supporters)
7. Go and bring your supporter.
8. Talk to everyone, ask questions, have fun. Meeting 1 CHer is awesome, meeting a bunch is life-changing.
9. Get your reservations now!
10. Spend some time finding out if you can be of help to OUCH.

Ok so what Joe and Linda are talking about is..we're trying to gather songs/music that are good for sing-alongs. We had a great time in Kentucky one night with Joe and Brew jamming and the rest singing along. The hardest part was thinking of a song everyone could sing along. So we're trying to complile a list before hand so we can put together some copies of the lyrics.

Maybe we should start a new thread. Ok, I talked myself into it. Cheesy
